Trivia :
District Six takes its name from a residential area of Soweto.

District Six was probably the most seriously commercial band any of its members had been in up to this time, in that they mixed a fair number of covers into their repertoire, and played frequently at mainstream watering holes like the Albion Hotel. They also managed to score a full page article and photo on the front page of the Weekend News music section.

Internal friction ultimately broke the band apart. John Bailey and Guy Crommelin went on to form Magic Bus the next year, while Val Tarin helped to form The Inevitable Boo, The Waltons and Love Pump

John, Guy and Val continued to occasionally collaborate musically into the 90s - Guy and Val played in The Quatermass Experiment and Los Locos together.
