This is the handbill for the first annual "Elvis Night" that the Shenton Park Hotel ran for at least two years.

Unfortunately for The Fat, irate Elvis fans took umbrage to some trendy 80s types playing modern music.

The band, although only four months old, had experienced nothing but triumph up to this point, playing a string of benefits and warehouse parties.

Maybe, like someone suggested after the whole debacle, The Fat should have played more Elvis songs.
