At the same time as The Armchair, Val Tarin was also involved in this occasional three-piece instrumental outfit with his cousin Pepe Narvaez and new friend Thomas Kayser. Thomas was at W.A.I.T. at the same time as the Fine Arts students who comprised The Armchair, but studied in the nearby Media Design department. He had a keen interest in analogue synthesizers, which he played in this band, alongside Pepe's delay-pedal soaked guitar stylings and Val's drumming. Floating Garden played on the same bill as The Armchair at the Wizbah, and probably a party or two, but were basically a short-lived affair.
