Some fans brought a cake and Whip cut it up and passed slices around. They also gave him a birthday present - a pink bra embroidered with the words "Love Pump".

One of the last shows by Love Pump Mk-I with Tiger Turbo on bass, and probably the last Wizbah gig.

Like all the other stomping grounds of this era (the Shents having been levelled in mid 1999), the Wizbah recently went the way of all brick. Until late 2001, the old club remained intact , a closed-off cellar on upper Hay Street.

I imagine cobweb-covered wine barrel tables in dusty darkness. A few bottles, some beer coasters, handbills, rats. Presently the site has been demolished with exception of the old facade, which looks like it will be kept intact when the site is redeveloped.
