This
is the last top 20 Australian chart entry for the Monkees, the reason
for the stronger showing here than previous and subsequent releases being
perhaps the strength of the A side itself. WIth its characteristic charm,
RCA Australia once again chooses to display the B side with greater prominence
than the top side.
The
B Side "Someday Man" remained a non-album B-side until much
later compliation records included it, and is one of the few songs produced
by Bones Howe, who was briefly the appointed Monkees producer in late
1968 (his other efforts being "Man WIthout A Dream" and some
of the songs from the TV show "33 & 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee").
Davy,
Mike and Micky are pictured on this sleeve wearing (I assume) stage outfits
during their 1969 North American concert tour.
