As an afterthought almost, I feel the need to include this record in this listing of Monkees 45s in Australia, even though it is really a Davy Jones solo record.

Although this EP consists of songs recorded and released prior to the Monkees, Astor Records in Australia capitalised on the success of the Monkees by re-issuing this old material in various forms throughout 1967, going so far as scoring two top ten singles with "Theme For A New Love" and "Dream Girl".

This EP collects those two hits and a third song from the "Davy Jones" album (retitled from its original pre-Monkees "David Jones" title and repackaged with a newer album cover photo, seen here on the EP as well), and adds the non-album B-side "The Girl From Chelsea".

This particular record still seems relatively easy to come across, so I assume it must have sold well.
