This
is the back of the box. I don't know about the "realistic hair"
being particularly realistic, but the "more dynamic body" part is
true.
This particular
figure is what I call the "deluxe" model of Action Man, for, whereas
the
construction of the Basic Figure is of a cheap nature, this version's body
is superior in every way. Better body mould, better plastic, better joints,
better internal construction, better hands (rubber as opposed to plastic).
The head is is the same standard "eagle eye" model that the Basic
Figure has. This
deluxe model was used for some of the other figures in the range, such as
the SAS Key Figure.
Although
of a much better standard than the cheaper figures, this particular version
has an inbuilt flaw. After approximately twenty years, the rubber cord attaching
the head to the torso perishes and the head comes loose. Ironically, the Basic
Figures don't have this problem, as their heads are held on by attachments
made of plastic.
